My boyfriend and I just moved to Long Island and was wondering if there are any nice hangouts for young people in their mid to late 20's?

That's like asking "what is there to do in _____________ (fill in the blank with any state you want)". Long Island is a TREMENDOUS place. It's bigger and more populated than some states. You will NEVER run out of things to do, but you need to narrow it down. It will take you three hours to drive from the city to Montauk Point. That's LOTS of stuff in between! ;o)

There are great parks, cool bars, historical sights, and awesome little towns like Port Jeff, Sayville, or South Hampton. There are beaches, and water parks, and zoos...

If you narrow down your region, I could probably give you a handful of good web sites and ideas!

Try Port Jefferson in Suffolk county, it's right on the water and this time of year it really starts to come alive, there are some great bars down there, at z pita they do fondue on thurs, fri and sat.

You could go to Freeport. There's really nice seafood restaurants there right outside by the water, and you could also go shopping there. If you're looking for more urbanized tense fun, go to one of our many malls. Roseveltfield is the best.
