I'm looking for a camera that can do low light shots that occour with the theatre, but I am trying to stay under a budget of $500 (and would rather only spend around $200, so I can have money for a monopod, extra memory, case, etc). I was wondering if there was anyone out there that had any good experience with cameras used in this manner. Any suggestions would be greatly apprechiated as I am looking at purchaseing it fairly soon.

Well, you can check out the Canon S3 iS that costs about $330 at www.beachcameras.com and you can get a great tripod at www.bhphotovideo.com (Sunpak Ultra 757 with 2 quick release plates and a carry bag for $80 OR you can get the Sunpak 9002DX with quick release plate and carry bag for $45... ). It's a 6-megapixel camera with imagine stabilization.

The Manfrotto 679B Monopod that sells for $42 at www.bhphotovideo.com

You can buy the memory cards at either www.beachcamera.com or at wwwbyphotovideo.com OR you can also check with www.tigerdirect.com or with wwwnewegg.com and see which has the better prices for you.

I hope that helps; good luck and best wishes.
