That would all depend on the circumstances...if it's someone you really love, maybe, but they would have to do some serious explaining about why they lied about something like that. Then again, if you didn't KNOW that they were the other sex, maybe you haven't been physically intimate with them...which also makes a difference...I guess it would be a case of whether your love for the person can transcend the outside package they come in.

"Partner" suggests you are/were in an intimate relationship. How did this "partner" manage to keep the same sex thing a secret? Like so many sexually oriented questions, I think it would be up to the individuals and how the deception was conducted and perpetrated.

Unless you are talking of a sex-change operation (transsexuals) how could I have a partner and be ignorant of their sex??? At any rate, if had already loved them and had entered a relationship such that I could have considered them my partner, why would their sex be an issue? Would they be different people otherwise than the one I loved originally?

Yes for many reason. They lied to you the whole time. Im a big anti-gay person and dont go with the same sex relationship is very wrong and relationship was created between a male and female.

well, that is quite a awkard position
because in several ways it is such a way of lying, decieving
but to live a life, where you are comfortable being another sex can be hard. So, really that person would have to weigh out how much they care for this person who decieved them.
And wonder or try to still go on with this big change, change in lifestyle, and in alot of things.
So, I would say, just go with your instinct and your heart.
Take care.

AS decieving as it is....ASK yourself:
1.Does it really matter to me?
2.Though others may find it odd, do I care?
3.Am I still interested in this person, what has our time together equalled to?
4. Can I forgive this deseption?
5. CAN we grow together or should I just go it alone till the next?

Umm...yeah...if you think you're in a relationship with man and it's really a woman, that's a big lie. It's also a life style choice that someone is making for you. Even if no one knows then it's still a lie. So sorry but yes I would
