You are correct, we are not he judges, we should not make such statement. Jesus Christ ask us to Love one another, and love our neighbor.
Prideful judgment is not our call.

religion isn't necessarily the greatest term to use when coming into this talk. I don't picket outside places and tell people they are going to hell for not believing in Christ. If someone wants to know if they will perish for not believing in Christ I will tell them. But I don't just come up to them and tell them that. It happened a few times in the bible, but for the most part it didn't. So the knuckle head that says the bible says it, there are many more times that method wasn't used, so read the bible before you talk about knowing it. As for the other one that says there is no hell except seperation from God, I would also suggest you read the bible. Jesus talks about hell, and it comes up again in the book of revelation as the lake of burning fire. Some people need to hear that, but most in society unless they are directly looking for that specific answer, need to hear why and how we need Jesus. That is the best way. I am not against preaching about sin, I am an advocate as a matter of fact, but when people are hurting, they don't need to be thrown under the bus. If you argue that, read John 7:53-8:11 Jesus comforts the woman caught in adultery. So the one that says the bible preaches it so we should do it, talk to God about how He mishandled the woman at the well. Tell me what He says, thanks.

I tend to agree and stay away from the "you are going to burn in hell."
However, if we are telling the good news that Jesus speaks of in Matthew 28 then we must be truthful...and tell the consequences of rejecting Jesus Christ.
I'm not saying we need to tell them they are going to hell. However, it is a true statement.
Hell is eternal torment; where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Peace be with you as you spread the gospel.

But are you telling someone they will burn in hell if they don't find religion out of anger? In that case, it is provocation, wrong and can ruin a friendship.
Or has someone asked you, "Will I go to Hell if I don't join a church and accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior?" In this case, the asker is asking for the truth and you have the right to answer them matter of factly using Scriptural references to back you up.

Heavens no...and I never do....I am not even sure there is a hell other than being apart from God...which is not anything like burning up in hellfire. Truth is...I cringe whenever I hear a fellow Christian use that term.

You would be suprised. A lot of people join religions because they ARE afraid they will burn in helll if they don't. Which is really sad....

Definitely no. I would first get them interested in what I'm saying and then tell them about Jesus's gift of eternal life.

What? Don't you see the millions converting here every time we are told we will burn eternally?
Seriously, every time someone says that it makes Christianity look like some crack pot religion.

Yes, we lead by example but if we are asked what will happend then we as Christians should all know better than to "sugar coat" the information. If someone says that you will go to hell if you are not a Christian they are simply speaking facts.
