Luke relates the trial and execution of Jesus.

I'm not sure why you couldn't look this up yourself. You obviously have internet access.

Could it be that you're phishing? If so, please don't abuse Y!A that way.

"23:1 Then the assembly rose as a body and brought Jesus before Pilate."

Jesus is now brought before “Pilate” (23:1) on charges that he has violated Roman law: the charges are made to sound like treason, but neither did he forbid payment of taxes (see 20:20-25) nor is his kingship political (23:2). Pilate, Prefect of Judea 26-36 AD, has the authority to impose a sentence of death by crucifixion. Refusing to take religious ideas in a political way, Pilate announces Jesus’ acquittal (23:4), but then he yields to popular opinion in sending him to Herod Antipas, tetrarch of a territory which includes Galilee, Jesus’ home district (23:6-7).

I believe the whole Christian world knows that Jesus died on the cross, and that he gave up his life willing so that we may live.

But how many of you have taken up your cross and followed him, how many of you actually do as he commanded.

I can say I am a follower of Christ, but this will not save me, for he said:

Those who have done good unto the resurrection of life and those that have done evil unto the resurrection of condemnation.

If you would read with a new heart, that has been born again, you would see that he told the robber TODAY, you will be with me in paradise. What about in 3 days?

The Romans declared Him the king of the Jews, not Jesus.

It is about the unrighteous condemnation and murder of Jesus of Nazareth. For a better answer you have to be more specific or you will wind up with a 300 page thesis.
