From 300 to 1,000. Depending on breeding. Show quality is more expensive.Go on Internet to find breeders around where you live.

The price is kind of up to you. The more you pay, the better you'll get. This is going to be your friend for a long time... don't be stingy. My last pup was a thousand dollars... and a female would have been 1500... I didn't even think about it. The money is not what I'm thinking about. What is important to me is getting a dog who is healthy, happy, and conforms to the breed standard. I'm not going to show him or breed him, but I demand a qualified show dog, because I know that a breeder who will guarantee a dog to be free of disqualifying defects, is a good breeder who stands behind their work, and cares about their animals.

You should check out the breeder very carefully and ask for references. If they are sketchy about anything, walk away. They should be happy with you coming out and spending most of a day playing with the dogs and inspecting the farm. My last purchase took 6 hours, from the time I arrived at the farm to the time I drove away with the puppy. And this was AFTER I checked everything out and got references.

Note: if you see an injury or an unhealthy dog, ask the breeder about it. With a large group of dogs, it's not always a sign of neglect - the breeder should have a good explanation. Use your own judgment.

The price for those breeds to get a healthy dog will most likely be between 900 and 1500. Usually males are cheaper. Good breeders can be hard to find. I just purchased a Maltese and she was 1500. Remember, with dogs it's pay now or pay later in many cases. Invest more in a dog from a reputable breeder and avoid health problems later! You might want to be prepared to search in a larger area and make plans to travel to get the puppy. I wouldn't buy from someone "just" because they are close to home.

HEY - WHY DID I GET A THUMBS DOWN?!!
If you are only going to go for the cheapest, you may be buying from an unreputable breeder. Go for the breeder that shows you the parents, that has socialised the pups from an early age with kids, household noise etc. Don't get them too young - if a breeder lets you have them at any less than 7 wks, he isn't a good breeder. Make sure they are wormed and have any certificates stating that they don't have health defects common in the breed. If you want a lovely dog, you may have to travel. It will be worth it.
Happy Birthday!

When i was shopping around for puppies i really wanted a yorkie, but i didnt end up getting it. i do know the price range though. males are usually a little cheaper than females. the males that i saw ranged between $800 and $1200. the females i saw ranged between $1000 and $1500. they can be a little pricey depending on where you buy them, but that is pretty much the price range i saw.

The price could vary, depending on color, size, health, etc. I would suggest checking your local paper or getting in touch with some of your local breeders. There is no telling what they could charge. It will take research on your part to find out. Hope this gives you a start.

It depends on the pedigree. My grandmother had a yorkie that she paid $600 for. I would look in your local paper for breeders.. If you go to a pet shop they will run around $1000.

Breeders can ask any price they want for their dogs. One might ask 300 another could be asking 500. Your local paper should give you a better idea
