I'm not a fan of feathering (I assume you mean very short layers near your face), but layering is a great way to get a different style while keeping the overall length. Make sure you go to a hairstylist you really trust will know what they're doing, because some stylists go a little too far with the razor, etc. You don't want to end up with the "Christmas tree effect." Good luck - I hope it works out for you!

Keep the length and get it feathered at the front.
DONT get layers i have them at the mo and ive had them for like two years now, they take ages to grow out and look horrible when there in the middle of growing out. But its easy to wash :)

depends how fed up you are, i am having mine done tomorrow and used to always have a bob, then i went really short and deep red, (blonde naturally) now it is long and although feathered and layered am bored i do have the option at the moment of tying it up or curling it (naturally straight) but want a bit more definition so am going for the inverted bob i know it suits me and can keep some length. if unsure ask your stylist she/he (my son is a trainee stylist) will know what will suit your face. good luck its great to have a change

layers always look great, as long as your hair is straight/ can be straightened. its the same with feathering.
most people opt with just havin layers, but feathering can look good on longish hair.
I think you should go for layering.
you can always feather it some other time.

What type of face shape do you have? I always suggest layering for the hair, it's usually a good look. You could try side swept bangs or layered bangs to add to your look.

definitely layering, and maybe some long cut bangs.....but please no feathering..that is not really in style anymore and the people that have it most of the time look good because that is the type of hair cut that looks best on them....but if your unsure most poeple don't exactly look fabulous in them simply because it is not very common and people judge...i hope it all comes out okay!

Layering would be good, plus I know very few people who have got their hair layered and didnt like the results.

What you should do is get it layered. I've always thought personally brunettes looked better with layers.
