I'm a 36 year old man and I've been dating a very attractive 42 year old man for 3 months. Everything is going well but he just confessed that he is actually 52. The age doesn't bother me so much as the deceit does.

I think you should sit down and tell him you are hurt by his deceitful behavior and try to work it out then. If the age difference does not bother either one of you, then I do not see a problem. Unless he lied about other things....if so......it's time to let all the things come clean. Good luck and hope this helps.

It depends on you, if you like to the point that age doesnt matter go head.

i would personally break up(thats my opinion) relationship is base off trust, you probably know that. Trust is gain base off the truth and faith toward each other. He already start the relationship on a bad side by lying. Thats already a code of violating trust. Thats my opinion, I dont want to be part of the blame indirectly if you follow this answer but do it base off you and your heart. For the record Im not gay, you should take an advice from someone who is gay and have the gay experience

By the way get a girl. Homosexuality is wrong and need to change.

If it is a problem of deception, you need to look at the relationship as a whole. Has he lied to you about other things, even if they are just little things? Does he come off as reserved or does he not tell you everything (obviously)?

You need to talk to him and tell him how you feel. Ask why he lied and see if a relationship is still salvagable at that point.

I probably would. I was mislead in the beginning of my last relationship and I thought it was a little thing. But it was continual ~ the deceit continued into every aspect of the relationship. Sometimes there are extenuating circumstances... but he felt it okay to decieve you on such a basic fact ~ what else will we mislead you on?

well, women have a harder time with their age then men do. While it was wrong of her, due to insecurities, it's kind of understandable. She probably feels the relationship is moving forward and wanted to bring it out before it got to serious, so you could decide if you wanted to continue.
Good luck, she must be one hot milf.

I'd say that if you're happy together, then you should stay together. Good relationships are not that easy to come by... Plus, she did tell you the truth, and that should count for something.
