No, I think it is probably because he isn't real.

you're foolish, God contacts His people all the time, are you meeting Him? Are you in prayer? Are you devoting time to God? If you can't say yes...then there's the problem. I'm not talking about no 15 minute prayer either. Or just going to church on Sunday, but when your whole life is a worship to God then you can experience the power of the Almighty God!! Don't play God like He's some absent God just sitting up looking down. So you need to ask yourself what am I doing wrong, or what am I not doing enough of!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or it could be that he never really did make direct contact. The bible is just like any other book that has an author...its opinions and their point of view.

Your god is in you...all around you. It's in the little things, I find god is my conscience alot of times.

God does make direct contact with those who believe in Him and what He did to save us from our sins and give us eternal life in the kingdom of heaven. His Holy Spirit lives in us and guides and directs our lives. No, we don't hear His voice, but He is an ever- present force in our lives.

I have wondered why God doesn't speak to us like he spoke to the people in the Old Testament. But, I think he still guides us through the Holy Spirit, the Bible, and by putting people in our lives to help us grow and make the right choices.

He does. Some don't believe that, but it happens all the time, and my Christian friends and I even talk about it in casual conversation.

For me, getting a direct and specific word from God does not happen all the time, but I do have distinct times when he did do it. But I feel his presence frequently.

He does. He answers prayers. He protects people all the time. He also speaks to a prophet just like Moses in his day who teaches His followers His will. You just don't know where to look and how to recognize His contact.

Have you given any thought to the people who "TALK" with God usually come out of the desert after many days, starving and delirious (or drugged out of their mind) to tell unbelievable stories and totally unprovable except by their word.
Today many religions chant themselves into hysterical trances to achieve holy status.. (more hocus pocus to the foolish witness')

He still does. And no we have not been taught everything we need to know. There is always something to learn. The "I know everything I need to know" attitude is one that will get you in trouble. Always remain teachable!

MARK MY WORDS...........Everyone who says that God or an angel or the Jesus or the Holy Spirit has LITERALLY talked to them.............are referred to as mentally ill. They tell the truth but the world does not accept them. They will be rewarded in the end.
