What if the president gave you free-will to choose whether to swear your allegiance to him or die?

You have free-will to choose, so does this mean that this President is bad?

What if the President really loved everybody and was a good guy, and just wanted to protect us, and he knew that the only way to protect us was to get us to swear our allegiance to him?

Suppose this President had built a huge furnace to burn the enemy of the President in, and decided to use it to kill those who would not swear allegiance to him?

Suppose that you never actually saw this president, but only read about him in the papers?

This president wants to protect you, but he made it so that if you choose to not swear allegiance to him, you will die in his furnace. So, in reality, YOU choose to die in the furnace because there is no other choice.

Is this a fair system? Is this a loving president?

Is the furnace fair?

Good analogy!

If swearing allegiance would save me, I might do it even if it was a lie.

Seems this is almost a reworking of Pascal's Wager, so drink up!

I'm a Satanist and I call that EVIL!
NOW THINK ABOUT THAT!
Christians call a God that does the same thing good and a Satanist calls that evil.
