I love gospel songs - it soothe me when I'm going thru and it make me praise God all the more because of who He is.

It really depends on the song. Some of the new "I wanna be a rockstar singing god's message" types tend to be nauseating at best and make people who are on the verge of becoming or leaving Christianity to run for the hills. Some songs are naturally comforting like "Amazing Grace" and spans pretty much ALL denominations. I prefer the old favorites and oddly enough Johnny Cash has a collection of old gospel favorites that's really enjoyable.

I love gospel music.... If you find it boring, what type of music do you like??? There are some good contemporary gospel oriented musicians out there....if you're into R&B try Canton Jones....

you don't have to like gospel music to be a christian. gospel is a type of music. it's not like bake in the bible time they had their banjos and mandolins strumming all t he time. they had flutes and harps. and such.
but to get back to the question yes i like country gospel. my dad is in a band that sings it. it is called Keeping The Faith.

Not really, I don't like generic praise music either. I like other kinds of Christian music though, house, techno, misc. dance, reggae, industrial. I also collect Christian music from other countries and have stuff from Pakistan, India, Egypt, Brazil, Curacao, Bangladesh, and some others.

I like christian music of all types but gospel like kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond..are great!!

Yes ,The traditional ones especially.they remind me of all the great times i had in my Southern Baptist church growing up.reminding me of all the great times i had with my grandparents and parents when i sing them,there all gone now,so when i sing those songs sometimes i will get a tear in my eye,my dear mother told me we should sing Victory in Jesus in church, one sunday, but she got cancer and died,so i will be looking forward to singing that song with her in heaven one fine day,I am so glad that one day i will see my people again,I hope and pray for that day
