Please examine these three things:
1. Your Resume
2. Your Cover Letter(s)
3. Your Interview Skills

If these three things are not top notch you are short changing yourself. Please email me if you'd like tips or help getting these things up to par.

This may not be the most glamourous, but you can still work consider going and getting a certification in being a nursing assistant and I can recommend a good agency you can apply for a job through. 6 weeks and you can be working and making a little something. Any vocational center or junior college has a program for CNAs. It's not the most glamourous, but you can make good money and it's helpful as a backup skill so if you need to pick up a few extra dollars it's there. You can apply for FAFSA and they can pay for your tuition, but check with the school to find out if you can apply financial aid towards a vocational or trade program. If you need the name of the agency send me a message and I'll be happy to give you the name and you can apply online.

This agency can pay above minimum wage and you can work when you want. You can use that as a way to move into another career, but you can keep your bills paid and food on the table. Suicide is not the answer, there's help out there and those who posted and anyone else will be happy to help you get out of your situation by giving you logical answers to your question.

Get out of Michigan. I understand there aren't many jobs there. I assume you have a vehicle, use it to get away. Go to a large city and live in your car in a safe place but move to different locations each night, to keep safe. Mean while focus on what kind of work you are best at and you like. Then find employers that do that kind of work. Prepare a resume at the library, if you have any questions the librarians will be able to help.
Keep yourself and your clothes clean because you want to be presentable at the interviews. Also, once you find a place you would like to work, contact them either by phone or in person at least twice a work week. More if you really want the job. Don't forget about temp. agencies, like, ManPower etc. When you finally get an interview, know about the company, and if possible, know at least the name of the interviewer, and use it. Be punctial and alert. Dress conservatively. Bring whatever materials that you might need, example: extra resume, references or samples of your work. Give a firm handshake and only sit when asked. Ask questions about the job and display your interest and character. Think of questions that show thoughtfulness, curiosity and research (from the library). Write a thank you letter to the interviewer as soon as you get home (in your car). Make follow-up calls if you don't get a response by the date indicated. Be aggressive but do not badger.

First off...things are a little tough..but your education in itself is a gift. Just be happy you made it through to get some college under your belt.

Second....if you have applied to over 1500 jobs...guess what? You can apply for more. It seems vain but consider this.... If there is nothing for you in Michigan..Start fresh. Apply for jobs all over the country. I say this because..it sounds as if Michigan is not working out for you. And a job is a job. Starting fresh is your best bet to finding a good job and building your life. yeah its going to be hard, and yes...finding a place to stay will be even harder. But all the greats started off rough. But when you are able to get your own place...all the hard work will be worth it. Hope this helps!

If they have a job agency where you can submit a resume' as well as apply wanted ads for jobs your qualifications. Go online and search more. Do you have an appealing resume', send it in with every interview. Make yourself presentable amd when you apply for a job you have to follow up with a phone call after a few days. Businesses are busy and have a lot of applications to go through if you call they see that you are generally intersted in a job and who knows might set you up with an interview right away.

The one thing I can suggest is go to a church and check around the area for churches that help. If you get involved with church sometimes they know of other people that can get you jobs etc. And sometimes churches are looking for secretaries etc. I would really start there and see how things go from there.

are you being honest about even trying a fast food place. or do you think you may be to good to work there afraid of what people will say if they saw you there. be proud if you are as desperate as you say then you wouldn't be choosy . most usually fast food place hire everyday.. another thing you could do is move to another town or state..

Go and find a Salvation Army church and ask to speak to whoever is in charge and ask them to help you.
