and what's the difference between good and bad carbs?

Whole grains is one. Whole wheat, whole oats, etc... The MOST important carb is whole grains like wheat.

The simplest way to remember, is that 'good carbs' are pretty much 'god made' and 'bad carbs' are pretty much 'man made'.
In other words, refined anything, be it sugar, flour, rice(white), corn, bread, - whatever, are 'bad' carbs.
Natural , whole, unabated plant foods, like brown rice, oats, & other WHOLE grains, fruits & veggies constatute a 'good' carb.

In a nutshell, you can't go wrong eatin God-made food!
So ENJOY THOSE GOOD CARBS!!!

Bad Carbs:: butter, bread, cheese, all rich foods, all snacks, whole and 2 per cent milk, all fast foods & potatos.

Good Carbs:: fruits, veggies, water, teas [ decaf ], 1 per cent or non-fat milk, eggs [ 2 week ]. juices [ check carbs if they are low, good & sugars low ok ].

Fruits and Veggies are good because they are complex and natural. Bad ones are simple and manufactured. They cause the insulin levels to spike and fall faster than the good and produce fat.
