I live in Illinois. Here we have something called Care Credit. Talk to a vet office to see if they have this. If they have this, fill out the application and see if you are accepted. Care Credit (if you are accepted) will take care of the vet bill, and you do get billed later. I hope this helps. I also hope your kitten feels better soon.

I worked at a vet clinic..and most vet clinics even have a "no information policy"..which means if someone calls asking some advice about their pet..the receptionist just says "oh why dont you bring the animal in so we can take a better look at it" even though they could give you an answer right over the phone. yes...alot of vets have been screwed over by money and dont want to take a chance of you not paying..but alot of them also just want to make money period... Have you tried getting a payday advance from some place like check into cash? Most places don't do a credit check if you cant get the carecredit card like someone above mentioned.

Nope, not gonna find one. You can thank all the buttheads out there who have screwed the vets royally in the past. One option I would look into is Care Credit (visit them at http://www.carecredit.com), you can look up vets in your area that will accept Care Credit as payment and you can apply for it right online---they will give you an answer in about 5 minutes or less!!! You have to find a vet who accepts it though, so make sure you do that on the website before calling around. Good luck, sweetie!

I had that problem a couple of years ago. I talked to the vet personally, and he agreed to a payment plan. The receptionists are hard. They're following the orders of the vet who doesn't want to deal with it. But if you ASK the vet face to face, you might have good luck like I did. He not only allowed me to make payments, he drastically reduced the treatment fees when I told him "HONESTLY" how hard it was on me to pay the bill. "The only dumb question is the one not asked" Good luck!

Put the charge on your credit card, then pay off the card when you get it.
Most vets don't allow payment plans for things like elective surgery and regular office visits or sickness visits because they get screwed on people not paying. Most vets request payment up front.
If it is an URI, the meds won't cost that much, the whole things should run you around $50.00 - $75.00.

Zombieph is correct.I am a Vet and I can't tell you how many times I have spent hours in surgery, used hundreds of dollars in supplies and then the owners of the animal all of a sudden can't pay me.They can find the money for their I-Pods,XBoxs,double mocha lattes, etc. but when it comes to the health of their pets they just can't manage it.I still have to pay techs, supply venders, labs etc.when we work on their pets.If you sincerely want to help your pet, talk to your Vet most of them will come to some agreement on payment.Once you make an arrangement stick to it.

Borrow the money. You said you can pay it back Sunday. Borrow the money from a workmate, a friend, a relative... someone who knows you. Explain the situation. Vets no longer "bill."

Some vets offer like a credit card type thing.. so the vet gets paid, and you have to pay off the credit card.

Did you ask them if they would be willing to wait for
payment until Monday (when you have money)?
I know that is what my parents did but they have
gone to their vet for a long time.

Use your credit card for now! Every vet takes credit cards these days.
And when your cat is better, you should rethink if you should really be responsible for pets.
