I dont know why this is in the beer section, but here goes.
you have inherited it, that is your natural skin colour.
compare it to your hair,..if you had dark skin would it look weird? the answer is prob yes,
you can use gradual tanninn creams, or whatever if you are desperate, but lots of people long to be pale, and other find paleness attractive.
If it helps i am pale! I have alwasy wanted to at keast get a tan in summer, but it really doesnt bother me any more

Its your genetic makeup. But I am going to go out on a limb and guess you don't sit in the sun often. If that is the case, then its difficult to get alot of color. You have to try and go out for at least 15 minutes per day and get your skin ready(please wear sunblock), its a slow process, it may never be the color you want. But try to remember its also not the healthiest hobby.

Because you must drink pale ale. Try something stronger like a lager or a guiness.
