I'm looking for ideas for snacks and meals that my one year old daughter can feed herself- nutritious foods, especially some containing proteins & good fats. If they don't make a big mess, that would be even better, but hey, that's just kids sometimes, right? Thanks~

I cut seedless grapes into small bite-size pieces and my son loves them. The same works for oranges and bananas. Cheerios of course have always been a favorite. Gerber sells some great fruit snacks that a baby can chew and any of the graduates or table time snacks are great. for meals my son really likes the Tyson grilled chix breast strips that are precooked and I just chop it up for him to eat, warmed of course. But I hope these few little ideas help you out some. It's so hard to find a variety of baby foods that don't end up all over the room by then end of the meal.

Finger foods for a one year old, I would only consider things like cheerios, rice cakes..things that break down easily.

My son LOVED plain extra-firm tofu. You just cut into cubes. Good protein. No mess (well, unless they smush them lol)
