We evolved from a primate species.
"Monkey" is the term for modern arboreal primates with long tails.
We did not evolve from modern primates; we evolved along side modern primates.

No. we came from a common ancestor. Common disbelief is we came from monkeys. If that was true there were be no more monkeys. at some point we broke and started our own line. Please do some reading so you can no what you are talking about. Just because some of us believe in evolution dose not mean we do not believe god created us. I believe in both. Please do not strain trying to figure this one out.

No, I think we evolved from a common ancestor with apes and monkeys, and that our common ancestor was pretty darned smart/adaptable.
