Most tablets now won't kill you in a large amount. I am trying to find out the best way as well for if I get old and am in pain.

That's not funny.
Even if YOU aren't suicidal and only posted it as a joke, you don't know what kind of person would come across it. What if someone actually gave you details of how many sleeping tablets to take to off yourself?
People who are suicidal are usually not thinking rationally, and they don't need people like you trying to make the how-tos of suicide easy for them.

Yes they can, the amount to finish you off would depend on your height, weight, age and tolerance to that type of drug.

Yes they will my cousin took sleeping tablets that were not prescribed my her doctor and sadly she died.

yes they sure can do not at all attempt this please speak to a medical doctor/proffessional,before you take any sort of medicines,sleeping pills are sedatives,tranquilizers
