You don't need to attack my motives. My motives are clear: to keep people out of the Mormon church and to deconvert Mormons.

Rob: Everything shuts them up. They attack the motive instead of answering.

Ivan: "You're question is such a contradiction to its own logic that I actually can't believe I'm answering it."
-- How's that? There nothing self-contradictory about the question.

MeatBob, think about this. Why don't you go and do likewise? I mean what you are implying, that is honest and intellectual debate. What you are asking is going to get you few honest or intellectual answers because it is just an attack on all Mormons. You're question is such a contradiction to its own logic that I actually can't believe I'm answering it. But here's what I suggest. Try actually answering the question of Mormonism for yourself. Then you'll be in a better position to ask thought-provoking questions about it that might make people actually think. And good luck in your quest. You're going to need it.
MeatBob, you can't be serious. You don't see the contradiction? C'mon. I think you're smarter than that.

I don't think they are all attacking at first glimpse, but it is somewhat understandable if some do. There are very few things in this world that are as important as religion. Family may be another. People that ask questions only to tear down someone's faith is like telling someone they are a bad parent or that their mama is fat. Of course they may be offended. I agree it is the better person that doesn't get upset and responds calmly and with reason. Mormons have nothing to be ashamed of and have no reason to argue with others. The fact is, people will always find conflict over religion and all you can do is be confident and secure in your own faith. If you are, then you will respect others for what they believe also.

Most questions I see here don't seem to be asked to get an answer, but to prove a point or make fun of people. Many Mormon related questions, as well as others, are asked in a very negative way with a mixture of truth and sensationalism. It is also hard to answer a question about some things without including a lot of background that people likely would not read.
I think that serious questions are answered properly by many people. Ask a serious Mormon related question and see what happens.

The problem is that you ask questions to which you believe you already have the answers to. As you stated, your "motives are clear: to keep people out of the Mormon church and to deconvert Mormons." So instead of asking questions that are meant to keep people out of the Mormon church, why not ask questions that you really don't have answers for? mmm...why am I asking a question that I already know the answer to? I'll be quiet now. :)

Um, probably us being defensive of our beliefs? We do get tired of slander, really. If someone was constantly spreading slander, misconceptions, half-truths and flat out lies about you or your way of life, how would you handle it? Could you always just take the slap in the face? Well, I can't because I am not perfect. I know sometimes I get defensive, but I try my best to answer honestly and to the best of my ability questions about the church, dotrine and/or anything else. I hope I do not "attack" when I answer but I know sometimes I am a little defensive and just get tired of the same-old bashing.
Thanks for asking.

It really depends on who the questioner is. And why they are asking the questions.
None of us would attack someone asking a question, asking the ir small bottle, and he wanted to go home.
As for your motives: how do you expect to get anyone to listen to you when we have demonstrated over and over that you're using such dishonest tactics?
And I have not avoided answering any of your questions, except for the temple ones.

If you would let us email you I could give you better explanations. I'm not sure you would believe any explanation, no matter how detailed or based on experience. So eat more gummy bears and open up your right mind.

Confusious stated, " Give not what you do not desire."
Attack not, then you will not be attacked.
LDS are not sitting ducks, and I doubt very much that my fellow LDS is the first to attack.
