I'd call the police. Abuse is illegal.

Hitting anyone is not tolerable - no matter what. If you can afford (even through a friend) to set up cameras to record this and get him charged, do this. Again, no one person deserves to be hit.

Please kick him out!!! Please. No one likes an abuser. I am one of them. He should be treating her like a princess or a queen, not beating on her like a master to a slave. What if someone was beating on him all the time and saying nothing to no one about it. He needs to go to a counseling session or treatment to stop the abuse.

The boyfriend needs to go.

Take your neice to the hospital for treatment... physical abuse and domestic violence is a crime.

Your neice may feel helpless to help herself.

The baby could be next. He could kill it!

Your neice needs to admit to you that this is actually happening. When that happens, you can have an honest dialogue with her about how she needs to protect herself and her baby from an abuser.
