I got a call from the formal wear shop to tell me that his groomsmen haven't come in to get fitted or rent their tuxes and the wedding is five weeks away! My fiance has told them a couple times that they need to get it taken care of but only one of them has...what do we do???

I would have your fiance call your groomsmen to set a date where they all can meet up at the rental shop to order them and get fitted. To make it a fun day, they could also arrange to go out afterwords (sports bar, bowling, etc.). If someone says that can't make that day, make sure your fiance tells them they have to arrange to get fitted before that date so the rental company can have enough time to get the tuxes ordered otherwise they won't be able to participate in the wedding.

I'm not in this exact situation but I just got asked 2 months ago to be an usher in my nephew's wedding. The wedding is 2 months away and I still haven't gotten fitted (but I'm going soon). But like my answer stated, they should be mature enough to go get their tuxes and get fitted if they really care about your fiance and his wedding. He should let them know that he needs them to get their tuxes ASAP if nothing else to give you both peace of mind for your wedding. Maybe they are both procrastinators, as I tend to be, and need to get pushed in the right direction. Maybe your fiance would even have to drive them there on a guy's night out or something just to get their attention.

You simply inform the groomsmen that if they intend on being in your wedding, they need to go get fitted for their tuxes or they will be replaced. You really shouldn't need to say more than that. Thank you and good luck.

They may not be getting them due to financial reasons...if the tux is about $50.00 I don't see what the problem is but, if their tux's are about $100.00 then maybe they need some financial contribution on your part! I would send them e-mails saying something to this affect: Please go and get fitted for your tux...(Ascot Tuxedos)...has threatened to cancel my tux reservation since more and more people are trying to book my wedding date, they don't think we're serious about the reservation! If you are having trouble getting there let me know so I can help you! Hope this helps!

Find their numbers and call them up yourself. Boys will be boys -- the groomsmen may have heard your fiance say it, but not listened. If they get a frantic call from the bride, they may be more apt to listen.

Or, you could set up a lunch date for your wedding party and afterwards, everyone goes to get fitted. This way you can make sure they go and do it :)

Don't stress out yet. They tux shop told us they need to come 2 weeks before. They will do it when they can, just keep reminding them nicely.

Get new groomsmen or have your boyfriend pick the idiots up to take them in for the fittings, have him tell them he is taking them to a baseball game that day.

Whatever you do, do not stress yourself out! Many Tux shops can get them in a week or two, if they do not have them in the shop already. So do not panic just kick their butts into gear, so it will be done. Oh Congrats!!

Call them yourself! I am serious, this is the only way. I got married in October and I called them all myself. When you call them it puts a legitimacy on the wedding and any how what boy is going to question a bride.

Have your FI ask them to go hang out one day this week. Have him pick them all up and tell them you hope they have their debit cards because you're making a pit stop at the tux shop on the way.
