I have brown hair and its frizzy, curly, and wavy and it goes about half way down my back. And I hate it! I would rather have nice shiny curls or straight hair. I used Sunsilk (poofy, straightening) I've used Garnier Fructis (Sleek & Shine Fortifying shampoo and conditioner) and right now I'm using Herbal Essences (totally twisted)

And nothing is working for me, oh and I tried Tresemme (sleek and shine).

And like I said I want nice shiny curls that like to bounce. Without the frizz or the dryness. And without the wavyness too!

In order to keep your hair from being weighed down so that the natural curl will be at it's best, you should use all natural products on your hair, including your shampoo, conditioner and then after your hair dries ...

I love to use Burt's Bees products! I use their shampoo & conditioner, but then when my hair is dry, whether I let it dry curly or I blow dry it straight, I put a dab (seriously, only a tiny bit is needed) of Organic, Virgin Unrefined Coconut Oil (you can find it in your high end grocery stores like Whole Foods in the cooking oil section - the brand I buy is called Spectrum). It makes your hair shiny, takes the friz out, won't weigh your hair down even though it's oil, and enhances the curl because it's natural & replenishes your hair. I swear by it!

Having straight as a board hair, I can't say I'm an expert. A good friend with curly hair uses Nexxus Humectress. It can be found in any drugstore. She comes through her hair (gently!) while it is still wet. She never comes or brushes it while it's dry- it's sure to frizz then.
Be careful, cuz you can cause split-ends if you comb through it too hard while it's wet.
If you are talking about the shiny, bouncy curls you see in commercials- don't try to acheive that. They get that look ONLY after hours of professionals working on them!
Good luck!

My hair WAS the same way.

If you want less frizz, try John Freda Frizz Ease, and if your going for the strait look..

Use the frizz ease(Use before blow-dry) and buy Thermasilk Smooth & Silky heat activated conditioner and shampoo. Only use the conditioner every other shower/bath. After getting out of the shower, blow-dry your hair(NEVER TOWEL DRY IT!!! Thats what usually causes the frizz with curly hair!) , Wet it again, and dry it. Then, Straiten it and it shouldn't be so frizzy and its real strait. Spray hairspray so it doesn't lose the straitness, maybe even blow dry it again once its straitend.

Sorry if this will take too long, but its worth it! it worked for me and i hope it works for you!

I think you should cut your hair to you shoulders or a little longer. That will get off the dead ends thats waying your hair down. Then ask a hair stylist what the best product for your hair would be.

Sorry I cant name any products my hair is straight so I don't have to deal with the frizzyness and wavyness that much.

Hope that helped some & good luck!

i don't have wavy hair but my hair tends to frizz a lot.so i use anti-frizz serum by john frieda or dove.i also get my hair trimmed once a month just to maintane the healthy shine.oh! one more thing i also used a shine spray its by schwarzkopf got2b.i don't believe shampoo or conditioner alone helps.you have to have products that will protect your hair from damage.you can also used hot oil at least 3 times a week.

I have the EXACT same hair, and the same problems. Right now i use Herbal Essences Hello Hydration. I know it has nothing to do with curls, but it helps my hair because it restores the damage that all the product has done. I would reccomend it. And it smells really good. =)

I have the same problem sometimes, what you need to do is get some frizz ease hair syrum and put that in your hair. it keeps the frizz down and makes your curls bouncy. i also use mousse which helps to, but everyones hair is different what works for one might not work for another. good luck
