Actually, for a female who is 5'1", your weight is perfectly normal. You don't need to lose any weight.

Don't let people tell you you are fat. You're not.

Hon, first of all don't let what other people look like determine how you think you are supposed to look!!! Be comfortable with yourself. You're not fat !!!! Just because they may be smaller than you doesn't mean that you have a weight problem. IF you choose to exercise or tone yourself then do it because YOU want to do it, not for any other reason. When I was in high school I had a best friend who was skinny, most the boys liked her. I felt like I was the "fat girl" and guys didn't like me as much. BUT I was wrong, when I look back at pictures from H.S. I was not fat, she was just skinny !! And when i think about it, I got just as much attention as her. So I had this complex for years over nothing. And you know what's funny, now today - she's FAT !!! lol

First of all you won't lose the weight and stick with a work out program unless you are doing it for you.....not those boys. Second I am 5'1'' also and out weigh you by 14 lbs, and I have real men looking my way, not to mention good looking men. I am not all that, but the fact is boys yes want skinny little girls, but don't get into a habit of being too thin, men like a little meat on the bones. As for loosing weight when you are ready to do it for yourself, Eat food that is healthy, cut out all the grease burgers, and eat in smaller proportions. Exercise is the biggest key, running to loose the weight and then crunches, push ups and be sure to stretch too. Good luck, and by the way, If a person dates you based on your weight and not your personality....they are way to shallow for you or anyone else.

You don't have to do killer workouts. Just taking brisk walks (it is getting nicer outside now) and eventually, over time, you could graduate to some jogging. Get light hand weights (anywhere between 2-5 lbs, pretty affordable from places like Wal-Mart) and use them during walks.

You could also get some yoga and/or pilates dvds (also somewhat affordable. Some retail for $10). Those forms of exercise are great for stretching and balance. They'll make your posture better and give the illusion of looking taller and leaner (and more confident, which is also just as attractive)

I wish you the best of luck in finding your healthy stride. I was an overweight kid myself, being picked on throughout middle school. Kids are just plain mean. At 22, I'm not as lean and tight as I'd like to be, but I now respect my body. All women need to somehow come to do that one way or another. I had to learn the hard way, I hope you can learn better than me, younger than me.

Sweetie, you are way too young to be worrying about impressing boys with your body. According to the BMI scale, you are at a healthy weight. If you want to tone up I would suggest getting involved in some extracurricular activities, such as: Soccer, Volleyball, Track, Basketball, Tennis. Find out what your school offers for sports. If they have a swim team that would be GREAT exercise. Don't do it to impress the boys though. There are a lot of sick people out there these days and you don't need to give them a reason to have their eyes on you.

You are not too fat for boys.. You may just be developing. Your body may just be different....and since when is 112 lbs fat!!!! Just watch what you eat not too much sugar/ or fat. Eat often and healthy foods. If you have put on the weight recently talk to your doctor...there is a disorder called polycystic ovarion symdrome that appears often in girls your age (Check they symptoms online). Excercise....but do something you like...maybe you should talk to your parents about taking dance classes or swimming lessons or something...and above all accept yourself and stop worrying about your weight concentrate on how you feel and makking yourself feel better. The Boys come with confidence and not dress sizes...

I was, at your age, and still am, truly FAT. I am 6 feet 3 inches tall and I weigh 585 pounds. I probably weighed about 280 or so when I was your age, so trust me, you have no worries! Just chalk it up to people who have nothing better to do than to ridicule others, and are probably just trying to make up for their own faults and imperfections. I speak from experience, although obviously not the female side of it.
Trust me when I tell you that you should just try to avoid such people altogether, and just enjoy being a kid for as long as you can! There will be plenty of time for you to worry about dating boys and dressing up to impress them. Being an adult is alot less fun and you will find out when you growp up that your life will be filled with worries of a much more serious nature. Paying bills, caring for kids (if you decide to have any), work, etc. So just slow down and make the best of what you have! I know it's hard to take advice from older people, but as I discovered, they were right about almost everything they tried to tell me at your age!
I wish you the best of luck and I hope you will find friends who like you just the way you are now. Don't change yourself to please anyone else but you! Take care!

Get a YMCA membership. I've tried to lose weight for three years, since having my son - I was 5'4", 180 lbs (a little different, I know), but going there to run and do weight training 3-4 times a week has really toned me up! My arms look nicer, my tummy is improving and I'm down to 165, since joining last month. Give it a whirl :) Good luck!

At 14 some girls still have some baby fat. Some have it into their 20s - that's part of what makes Beyonce so unbelievably pretty. Baby fat goes away. To get more in shape, eat real, whole foods (not processed/manufactured crap), drink TONS of water, and exercise in a normal fashion, not like a crazy woman. You'll get there.
p.s. between your avatar name & the title of your question, it would seem your self-esteem is a little low. Love yourself, or who else will?

More veggies, less fried food and start getting some exercise so nice that you're willing to work on this problem now. Your body will be more attractive and healthier. Be careful not to use food as a comfort when your feelings are hurt or you are angry learn to express yourself in other ways.
Exercise is key walking is one of the very very best and it gives you fabulous thinking time. Good luck wishing you the very best and very proud of you for even thinking of making personal changes.

you are not fat your just not the same size as the people you hang out with. You are also still pretty young and might get a little taller and fill out in other places. Why don't you just cut out some of the junk and start to be a bit more active, walking and jogging are solo sports so you can get in shape with out needing someone else to do it with you.
