Can you afford to pay for a replacement headlight ?

Given the age, the mileage is completely reasonable.
I have clients with 1990 and 1992 Lexus LS models, and not only are they still going strong, they're worth more than my 2001 model Mercury with half the mileage!
The only caveat to this is that if you do not have either a Lexus or Toyota dealer nearby. Even though they rarely, if ever, break down, you want to make sure you have access to the correct maintenance parts for this car. Should you decide to buy it, don't get your oil changed at the Express Lube, and don't buy cheap filters. Spend the extra $5 per oil change and get the filters from the dealership.

Thats a perfect car. I bought my lexus es300 with 60k miles. I went with it up till 190000 miles, and I had an accident. What's amazing about lexus, is that they NEVER break down. I never opened the hood on that lexus. Only thing i did to it was regular maintenance stuff like oil change, brakes and tires. Other than that nothing. This car just doesn't break down. Lexus vehicles are amazing. Most reliable vehicles EVER. So, My opinion.... If the price is good on this GS, definetly buy it. You'll never regret having such a wonderful car. Good luck

a Lexus is not like other cars. Most last till 100,000 and start to fall apart. Lexus will go to 200,000 and still look and act like it has 60,000. There are even recorded Lexus out there with over 300,000.

at times parts and repairs can seem expensive but you have to compare this to others. a GM/Ford will be in the shop 7 times more often than a Lexus. And their parts are cheaper, but that many visits and that many parts....its not cheaper to own in the long run.

80,000 is barely broke in for a Lexus. Nearest issue you even have to worry about is a solenoid going out in the transmission around 150,000. about the only issue the car has.

I use to work for Lexus, I am certified in them, been around them since 1996 and work in the car industry and been around cars my entire life. Nothing out there compares to a Lexus. Not even Rolls, Ferrari, etc. I've touched them all, Lexus has the best fit, engineering, quality, parts, etc.

Lexus uses real wood as trim inside, all the rest use plastic. Look at a Lexus key, the tip is a sticking out flat tip. why? its a flat head screw driver and most items you might need to access this will fit. engineering? there is pavement in the floor boards of the car to reflect the road noise. anyone else do that?

if this GS has the Nakamichi radio, its even better, that will impress you. My baby is a 99' GS400 Blackberry on black. Just talked a buddy out of his Cadillac into a 98 SC400...he's in hog heaven, rarely gets out of the car.

if the price is right, you should buy it. a Lexus is a Toyota, but with better amenities. as long as it hasn't been in an accident or is rusty, it will last a long time.

plus the 3.0l inline six makes that car MOVE! my wife worked for Lexus in 2000 and we always had a new car to drive. that GS300 was my favorite.

YES! i have a 1995 lexus es300 and it has almost 197,000 miles on it. they are good quality cars. they last very long. and its a toyota engine. toyota makes the best quality engines. so a 2000 lexus gs300 with 80k on it is good. you still have over a 100k in mileage that it will definitaley have no major problems.

I would love to get my hands on a lexus. I have ridden in one and WOW are they comfortable. So roomy and smooth. You don't feel the bumps in the road. That car will definitely last a long time. You probably have at least another 100000 miles left on that car. I would go for it.

It all depends on the service maintenance history. If well maintained the car will last. 135,000km is low for this type of car. Take it for a good test drive and take it to a mechanic you trust to have them check it.

If the price is right...absolutely! I loved that body style when it first came out, and I actually prefer it to the brand new style (which is a throwback to the early 90's GS). Best of luck.
