First.. I am a straight girl. I haven't had a best girlfriend since elementary or middle school! And where I'm from, I'm not liked because a few girls spread rumors that I went out with their boyfriend [who were not even their boyfriends at the time I went out with them] and basically did stuff with him. I can't prove it, but I have a little respect for myself..
My friend told me yesterday he tells people about what we do when we go out, because it was fun, er whatever. And his guy friends think I'm chill, but the girls hate me. I don't even know them! Why do girls who I don't even know hate me and guys who do know me [some who don't] like me and chill [platonically!] with me?

My guess is they are jealous because you are so comfortable with yourself and your male friends. Most girls are just looking for a boyfriend.

Girls are mean to other girls to make themselves feel better about themselves. Girls bully other girls because for a few seconds, while they are pointing out other girls minor flaws, they can forget that they have flaws and feel like better people. Bullies generally suffer from low self esteem, contrary to what others may think. So, the truth is that there really is nothing wrong with you, and once you have been labeled as an outsider it is often times very difficult to make girls forget that. After the first year or two of high school, girls tend to be more accepting of each other, and in college, basically all bullying disappears. Guys are a lot easier to get along with, especially since they are a lot less judgemental than girls are.
The book Please Stop Laughing at Me by Jodee Blanco if probably one of the most amazing books on bullying that I have read thus far and I highly recommend it.

not agirl but you seem like a nice person. who gives a flyin midget what anyone thinks lifes about how you play the game so flip all those other people and enjoy what you can do and not what you can't control

Hey, I'm a girl and I'll be your friend. Those girls are lacking a sense of individuality, they all follow each other, I know how you feel, everytime we have family parties I'm left on my todd.
