sounds like classic tonsilitis, check by opening your mouth infront of a mirror and looking for your tonsils at the back of your throat, (they look like strawberries on either side of your throat. if they got white spots, you got tonsilitis. Tonsils are used by the body to 'sample' the food we eat to see what bacteria they contain, sometyimes the tonsils themselves get infected. if it is then it will take a week to clear, gargle with soluable dispirin/aspirin and drink lots of water, vit C also helps. penecillin is the medical remedy

Sounds like a virus. Rest. If you can swallow an aspirin or two for the headache, do that. If you get a fever, drink more fluids . I'd wait on the doctor visit untill the throat isnt better after a few days.

sounds like you have tonsilitisis or strep throat. If it is a bacterial infection the doctor can give you an antibiotic that will help you get rid of it.

Sounds like a common cold, to me.

Try taking some echinacea, vitamin C, and grapefruit seed extract. It'll help you get over it faster.
