have a 91 toyota mr2 turbo. need a transmission desperately. my baby is in pieces!

took it to a mechanic, they removed the trany, opened it up and a bold had come loose and got into the gears, they estimated a rebuild at 1400.00 (yeah right, and monkeys fly out of my butt!!)

i no i helped a friend of mine try to find one for his. it was hard to find a gearbox for it what is wrong with yours? are you sure you need a new unit?

try ebay. they have people selling JDM (japanese domestic model) parts. usually pretty cheap.
