I just ordered a brand new 2007 Saturn Sky Redline with the monsoon stereo system stock, but I just can't get away from some hard bass. I just wanted to ask what kind of setup (Speaker+Amp) can I get that will satisfy me for some hard bass but not overly expensive. Mainly 1 speaker and 1 amp, the Highs are already amazing. The trunk is very small and if anyone who owns a Sky and has a system set up, please comment. My price range for this lil guy would be $250-$450.
Thanks in advance!

Being concerned about sound quality, price, power, and space, you probably should look at other owner's Skies and see their setups first-hand for yourself as well as hear them with your own ears. If you're lucky, you may be able to stop by a drive-in of a local Saturn car club or, at least, visit their web sites. Also, you may chat with and see what-else other owners have done with their coupes.

That being said and having seen the Sky's trunk with the top down, I'd think you can squeeze a compact powered sub-woofer, e.g. Kenwood KSC-SW1, Sony XS-LB10S in the trunk. Your options will definitely be dictated by available space, not power. Take careful measurements then visit your local electronics store and/or thier web sites. They have tools for selecting systems based on make and model, but I wouldn't trust them.

Listen to the car systems based on thier technical specifications, i.e. measurements met your space requirements because you don't want to fall in love with something that doesn't fit. You probably have plenty of time to weight your options, the waiting list for a Sky is up to 18-months at my local dealership. Good luck, I hope this helps and enjoy your Sky!

I'm going to suggest a 12 inch kicker L7, and a kicker ZX750.1 amp. The box is $27 on ebay. This should all cost about $415. Give or take a few. Giving you enough money to fill up your gas tank.

If you want good bass for a cheap amout, I would go with a DUAL system that you can get at best buy for $150 and then get a little kenwood amp for another $150... the DUAL is good for mid bass and such which is good for the saturn...
