I can give you some really good advice on the rawhide stuff. It is dangerous. My yellow lab got choked really bad on that stuff and I have heard a lot of people say the same thing. I actually was watching a show about things that animals swallow and one of the things was those pig ear thingies and the vet on the show says they are dangerous, also. We have had the same problem with toys. Our lab chews them up. So that is why I would tell you to be watchful when he is playing with anything. My lab even chewed the fuzzy stuff off of a tennis ball. They are mischievous little boogers and you have to keep a good eye on them all the time. The only thing he has not destroyed is the KONG, and I got the big one. Good Luck, aren't labs the best!

Pretty much all the toys made by the Kong company are great. They even have a line especially for puppies, which is what I'd get her at this stage.
Be careful with fabric toys with squeakers. Once the dog destroys the fabric part, lots of dogs end up swallowing the squeaker. Then they end up having to go to the vet and need expensive surgery to remove it a lot of the time.

One of the best things for teething puppies the the KONG which you can stuff with cheese or peanut butter and freeze. This gives them a long lasting thing to chew on and it is nearly indestructible. Although I do know of some dogs who have managed to destroy a kong, they are few and far between.

I'd get her a kong. I too can't have fabric toys, even other rubber ones because my staffi shreds them almost immediately! I don't even have to put food in the kong. He loves them. But the black ones are tougher than the red ones, just so you know!

As mine developed their adult teeth, the fabric toys had to go away - she would wreck them in one session. Nylabones are now her favorite. During teething, old wash cloths that have been moistened and then frozen are very soothing.

my lab looooves tennis balls, her puppy kong (they bounce when thrown she can play with that for hours on end), and I got these fish shaped chewies specially made for teething pups..they smell like bacon, glow in the dark..and sooth puppy gums.

Remember, that dogs see yellow and blue very well, but see green and red as shades of brown/tan.
