In the medical literature, it is commonly acknowledged that aspirin reduces mortality in patients who have had a previous heart attack, and prevents the "second" heart attack.

However, it does not reduce mortality when used as a prophylactic agent for the "first" heart attack, but it is common practice for doctors to have their patients on aspirin for this purpose anyway.

If you are over forty, take a 81 mg tablet daily. Some studies show that you could extend your life for an extra 3 years. For example, if your normal life span is 72, you could go up to 75 with aspirin. But of course nobody knows your real life span.

i dont know about extending your life but if you take one a day it will keep your blood thinked out and it wont clot up and clog your arteries and it will keep the blood flowing correctly to your heart to reduce heart attacks :)

no,it has no such effect on the body,infact if taken in excess without any precaution,it can cause stomach ulcers
