Would it be presumptuous of me to say that Atheists believe that atheism is the secret of religion itself?

That Atheism itself, not necessarily on the surface, but fundamentally in its heart, in its essence, believes in nothing else than the truth and divinity of human nature?

And Just for Clarification, due to the first answer::

Atheism is the belief that there are no gods. There is nothing more complicated to it than that. You're making things more difficult than they need to be.

--Yes

That Atheism itself, not necessarily on the surface, but fundamentally in its heart, in its essence, believes in nothing else than the truth and divinity of human nature?
-- No. We don't have any evidence for ANY divinity.

No. All atheism is is a lack of belief in a god or gods. From there we vary.

I have much more personal investment in the spread of rational thought than in the actual atheism it often leads to.

Edit - divine means

"1 a : of, relating to, or proceeding directly from God or a god, b : being a deity, c : directed to a deity"

We don't see anything in those terms, since we do not believe in a deity. Therefore, whether the word deity is mentioned or not, it is still relevant.

Furthermore, though I love humanity, I don't think human nature is entirely positive.

I have no idea what it means for atheism to be the secret of religion itself.

Atheism is simply the belief that there are no gods, and therefore, no literal divinity of human nature.

" believes in nothing else than the truth and divinity of human nature"

No. It is the lack of belief in god. Any other shared characteristics that atheists may have are a byproduct of that belief but are not relevant to atheism itself.

It wouldn't be presumptuous so much as inaccurate, since atheists do not believe in god, or the "divine," it would be rather unlikely that they would believe in the divinity of human nature.

Atheism is not a religion.
It may become a 'movement', but to define it as 'believing ...in th etruth and divinity of human nature' is giving it a mantra beyond what is intended, methinks, by most atheists.

remember, A-theism is really just 'not'-theism.

True a'theists believe science answers questions and don't see any reliable evidence of any god or goddess. Since they are quick to see the faults of others, much like everyone alive, I wouldn't say they believe in humans having the truth or being divine. I think Hinduism has a teaching like that.

Just believing in something DOES NOT necessarily make it a religion. For example, I believe that this question is stupid and old, but I'm not going to form a religion around this belief.

No. We don't believe in "divinity", as that is a religious term.

Atheism just means no belief in god/gods.
