Jesus.....it's the very first Messianic prophecy in scripture......of God's atoning plan which would come about 4000 years from that point

"He" is referring to mankind. It is talking about mankind and satan.

14 The Lord God said to the serpent,

“Because you have done this,
cursed are you above all livestock
and above all beasts of the field;
on your belly you shall go,
and dust you shall eat
all the days of your life.
15 I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and her offspring;
he shall bruise your head,
and you shall bruise his heel."

Genesis 3:14-15

I think the HE is the woman's off spring.

In my Bible it says ".........; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."

Which means that Satin will forever try to get humanity down and humanity will always have to fight against evil.

Sometimes when Satan strikes our heals, he hits and we are poisond. But other times we crush his head.
(comparison to the snake and the stereotypical relationship/ the relationship ppl from the Bible had with the snake)

Some say it's prophesizing the Messiah.
Maybe bad editing (seems like it would fit better around Gen 3:24)

And I guess, some people on this forum interpret it as Satan. I've actually never heard that before, but no I can totally see it that way.

In one version of the Bible it is she that is a reference to the Mother of the Messiah the Blessed Virgin who in her Immaculate conception and under the cross of Jesus crushed the head of satan.

It would have to be one of the giants the Bible talks about because he would have to be taller than you to hit you on the head and you could only reach his heel.

The he who bruises (he will bruise your head) is Jesus Christ.

.
'He' is not identified other than being the seed or 'He' may refer to Adam that God was fore warning the serpent that Adam was going to clobber the serpent, -at first chance.

Wouldn't You.

"He" and "His" should mean God. In formal English, these pronouns are only capialized when in reference to the Deity or at the beginning of a sentance.
