I've read on several medical-type web discussion boards that there is a link between an ingredience in ice cream and the subsequent infection throughout the nasal/sinus area. Is there any truth to this? If so, then there needs to be allergy warnings put on those brands for people like myself who avoid any and everything that can cause those irritated infections.

Well, yes, if you have a milk allergy. Ice cream is not different than ingesting any other sort of milk product. I fail to see how ice cream can cause more sinus than anything else you would put in your mouth.

I doubt it, but icecream could open up your sinus/nasal areas allowing other backteria in the air to enter and give you a reaction. lol :)

I don't know. It's possible, but milk is highly nutritious, and a lot of people get their milk from ice cream.
