I am graduating this May and will have earned my RN. We have been doing extended clinical days ie 10 hours. By hour 5 my feet, knees, and back HURT. I want to know what kind of shoes provide REALLY good support since I plan to go into a hospital setting and most hospitals in this area have gone to 12 hr days. I want to last and not feel worse than my patients.

Thanks!

Hi Dear,

Let's stop by one of the nursing stores in the mall and see if any of the staff there can recommend a decent pair of shoes for nurses. I'm sure they get that question a lot and probably have had a good bit of feedback from nurses too.

Love,

Jim

This issue solves suitable with a diagram, yet for the reason that i can not make one right here, enable's attempt some thing else. the tip of the 5 foot lady's shadow is unknown distance from her ft, as a result, X. the female's ft are 18 ft from the foot of the submit. the sunshine is 14 ft extreme. There could be 2 comparable triangles- the legs of the better one are 14 and (18 + X) the legs of the smaller one are 5 and X. set up a share: 14:(18 + X)::5:x Use manufactured from ability equals manufactured from extremes to get: 14X = 5(18 + X) remedy for X: X = 10 ft is the dimensions of her shadow Her buddy is 6 ft tall. set up a share the place Y is his distance from the submit. 28:14::(28 - Y):6 remedy for Y = sixteen ft from the submit.

Have you tried Z-Coil® ? The heel of the shoe is a spring that cushions your step. My ex-stepmom is a pharmacist and she has problems with her feet that render pain at the end of the day. But the shoes helped.

I love dansko shoes. I think they are supported by the podiatrics association and they come in white!! They do take a bit a breaking in but once you get them all soft you won't want to wear anything else!! Good luck with your new career!

I was told reebox are best or the hospital flip flop shoes, with the heel out. Also, new balance.

Try the shoes that nurses and waitresses wear, they are specially made for long periods of standing.

I would try either rockports (but I believe those usually come in black, you would have to check) or try www.shoesforcrews.com.
