There are a number of things that can cause nightmares.
Do you eat bagels ?
If you do, it could be the poppy seeds that are on nearly every type of bagel that is causing it. The poppy seed comes from the poppy plant, which is used to make illegal drugs like heroine and morphine, and while the seed is not addictive and does not produce a high, I've experienced nightmares and bizarre dreams from eating bagels with poppy seeds on them.
I know this because before the period of time that I ate the bagles, I had no such dreams and a few days after I stoppped eating them the dreams went away.
I don't know why, but for some reason sausage does the same thing. Whenever I order a pizza with sausage on it, I have a nightmare or bizarre dream.
So I imagine that green tea could do the same thing.

Yes. Caffeine acts as a drug while you sleep. So it makes your brain activity faster. Releasing endorphins, oxytocin, serotonin and dopamine and a bad chemical called cortisol. So eventually the chemicals become unbalanced and cause you to have bad dreams. One of the many reasons why I stopped drinking coffee and sodas, as along with eating other things with caffeine.

In my opinion, you might not think that nothing has changed in your life lately, but you could just NOT be affected by it directly. Catch my drift? I'd go in and get checked out, just to be sure. Anything is possible! Better to know what's going on, than living in the dark about it. Besides they're professionals.
