A concealed .357 or prayer?

I'll take the gun any day.

I wouldn't lose the slightest bit of sleep shooting someone who tried to harm me.

"So you'd kill someone just for mugging you?"

Um - yes? "Him or me" is a relatively easy decision.

Disgruntled penguin, .45s are kinda tough to conceal under a suit jacket.

Why the hell would you need a gun when you have 3 big *** dogs?? No mugger would be stupid enough to come near me. Not to mention this is Canada.. there has never been a mugging within 500 miles of where I live. Maybe because people arent allowed to carry around guns and shoot eachother.. Its more likely for me to run into and get attacked by an angry mother bear than another person where I live.. in that case dogs are still better than guns!

I reasoned my way out once but I don't know if it will work everytime. There is no set defense plan and I don't carry a gun.

I was also alerted once and avoided the mugging. I regret that I could not help the victim who took my place. I was very young then. Nowadays, it is probably not recommended to struggle with the mugger. Just hand over the money and try to remember the face.

I'll go with prayer. For several reasons:
1) If I pull out a gun, they could well kill me.
2) I might kill someone else, and regret it for the rest of my life.
3) Prayer puts matters where they really count: with God.
4) If I lose my wallet, - it's only money! Not worth pulling a gun over.

the no longer concealed loaded 357 that is stuck into the muggers ribs, hopefully breaking a few in the process, and the prayer that I don't need to pull the trigger.

I would take the gun and know how to use it out of habit. If you can't operate it without thinking about it it will do you no good. A moment of hesitation and the mugger will have the gun and you can say bye bye. If you don't know how to use it properly then it does more harm than good.

If you prayed in the first place, you would receive the knowledge to protect yourself with the .357

David had a slingshot and it worked pretty well.

Spidey sense.

I kid you not, that saved me from a purse snatching.

It was sooo weird - it was like I had EYES in the back of my head.

I'm anti-gun, but I WOULD choose that over prayer. Or rather I BELIEVE that would be more effective.
