I think it is possible that God gave men the responsibility to lead in order to sort of correct this problem. A man who truly takes his responsibility as a spiritual leader seriously just can't help but be more in touch with his "nurturing" side than most men today. As a result, he not only is a better husband and a better father, he is actually a better and happier human being.
As someone else said, it is a good thing when women do step up to the plate, and perhaps Paul should have allowed for this, but I would rather see men lead, because I believe they need the experience.

If men are so disconnected, then what better way to force them to reconnect than to tell them that they are EXPECTED by God to show some leadership?
Women seem to naturally gravitate toward religion than men, but men need some incentive to get involved (otherwise they lose interest and stay home to watch TV).

I am not a Christian but I agree. Women should have equal rights and authority as men. Sorry to say it but Paul had something against women. He made that very clear in his letters (Bible). That is the reason it is hard for women to become pastors.

God has called me a leader, regarding my parental roles. Yes, my husband is an alcoholic who also has a stronghold of an antichrist spirit.
My children consider the alcoholic abusive.

I think women are more in touch with spiritual matters because they are raised to be more sensitive. Men are raised to be less sensitive and more competitive, so in my opinion...it's harder for a man to humble himself and see himself as "needing" a savior. Since to come to God through His son, one does need to be humble, I just have observed it seems a little easier for women to do that, than men.

If that were the case then women would be allowed to be pastors in the bible (or according to scripture)
So I'd say the answer is no.

No. God commanded men to be the leaders. Man has failed god and his family if he doesn't lead. Thanks to all the women who have steeped up to the plate but it is the man's role and he will be judged on his leadership.
