Halle Berry is not BLACK!!! She has a white mother and a black father. Beyonce's mother certainly isn't all black, and Beyonce herself has Europian features. People keep trying to be polictically correct, but stop lying about what you think is beautiful. Obviously the majority of the USA does not find the classic features of a black women beautiful, or else we would hear people using them for examples of beauty instead of these mixed, light bright and almost white girls as the standard. We like certain people in our movies to play the main roles, and certainly the women are rarely ever fat, just like they rarely are ever dark-skinned black.
This is a calling, a contest even for anyone that can name some actual black beautiful women in Hollywood. But be aware, almost 80% of them are not all black. Naomi Cambel is parcially asian, Alicya Keys, Vanessa Williams, new Ms America, Tatyana Ali, etc are all mixed. No women like Beyonce that have Europian features either please!

It's the same logic beyond promoting Obama, Osama, whatever his name is, as the "black" candidate. He's mixed. But it's all part of the agenda to try to gain votes. Like the Hollywood scheme, it's all a deceptive way of distoring the real truth to make something out of something that's not there.

Stop being a hater! lol
USA doesn't find features of a black woman beautiful?
You're relating to hollywood were 98% of all the women are fake over there, of every race. I guess USA doesn't find white women's features beautiful either, them being the leader of cosmetic surgery!
To each their own. If a person is mixed and choose to be what ever race, that's their business. Respect it and move on! Look a stacey dash, she has black in her but considers herself to be white. At the end of the day, Who really cares!

The Miss Universe pagent had several gorgeous women (Angola, Bahama--gorgeous!, Guyana, Northern Marianas--gorgeous!, Trinadad and Tobago--gorgeous!). Vivica A Fox.
Why does the black community ostracize anyone who is successful as not being black? A woman with dark skin is automatically labeled as not black enough, "mostly European", "mostly Asian". Even though one parent of each isn't "mostly" anything.
Many successful black men (judges, doctors) are kicked out of the community and called sellouts. Apparently the community decides if you have ambition and desires you suddenly aren't "black". Who determines this label?
Tyra had a show yesterday about 2 sisters who labeled each other as "the white one" and "the black one"--based on music and friends. Each had the same mother and father and are just as black/white as the other and yet the one who likes different music and wants to be successful has to be "the white one."
The Hispanic community hopes to achieve, while valuing their culture and traditions. Homecooked meals, the food and celebrating quinceanera instead of sweet 16--that is latina. But the elements that they value do not affect the ability to succeed. A poor hispanic hopes to be more than the migrant worker father, hopes to become educated and perhaps have a fulltime job. However, he is never taught that if he is able to become a doctor that he is no longer hispanic. He is instead an asset to his family, a source of pride of his neighbors, an inspiration. To be successful he doesn't have to just be a gang member rapper or an NFL player with long rap sheet.
It's really quite sad and until the black community changes their views on what is "black", stops ostracizing their own for the successes, starts looking up to the neurosurgeon and lawyer as role models--until the community stops being racist, they cannot hope for a non-racist America.

you are coming across as agressive, if not racist.
i do agree that calling halle berry black is inaccurate (i don't know anything about beyonce). i was surprised when halle won the oscar or whatever award (i'm not up on pop culture) and they said she was the first black woman to recieve this honour. i thought to myself, she's not entirely of african american heritage, infact, she's as much white as she is black.
but the arguement here is, how many people in this country are entirely one race or another? most of us are mixed somewhere through history. i just found out that i am metis. well, i am the whitest person around, but apparently have native in me! and what does it even matter? i have seen many african women who are certainly beautiful, and many many many european or american women who aren't!
so, how do you feel about white women who fake tan themselves so dark that they no longer look white? are they attractive?

Tyra Banks, Iman, Oprah, Venus/Serena Williams, Alex Wyeck (I'm not sure of the spelling, but she is a supermodel from South Africa who is very exotic and beautiful)
There are beautiful men and women of all races and nationalities! I do agree that the standard of beauty in America- tall, thin, blonde with big boobs- is incredibly prejudiced. I say this as a short, curvy, brunette Mexican :D
As long as you think you are beautiful, and are a good person, what does it matter what the standard is?

Ra-yer! What happened dear, find your boyfriend had hidden an SI swimsuit issue under his mattress?
I thought you people considered anyone "contaminated" with more than 1/32 black blood to be black, I think you still have laws on the books stating that, non? How convenient to decide half black isn't black anymore just because your boyfriend is a closet halle fan.
How about her, do you think she might be black?
http://www.missuniverse.com/delegates/2006/files/BS.html
What will you whine about if you boyfriend discovers her? HAHAHA
EDIT: Violation? I foresee a loss of 10 pts. in your future. But to answer your ridiculous question, since there are or were laws stating that a person who is 1/32 black is black, it's not lie to say half black halle berry is black. Happy?

Mo'quie (however you spell her name, she's an actress) is very beautiful. She was in Phat Girls. I also think Queen Latifah is beautiful. I may be the only one because most people think beauty comes in a size six.

Most whites are mixed too but they are never considered any less white. Its annoying that people love to box in blackness and decide how black people are and what people ought to call themselves. All black people don't look alike, even in Africa. Some are red, some are yellow, some are coal black and some mahagony brown. Get rid of your fixed idea of what blackness is. Noone is 100 percent anything, not even whites.
