....For a decent guy one who drives and who doesn't mooch off his parents while he's living with them. He has his own money and pays for his date. A man who wants to get to know you calls you back be your best friend. I'm a genuine honest attactive woman in fact I look like my avatar minus the afro. Why am I getting these over 40 divorced or widowed creepy guys who think they're God's gift to the Earth. I'm confident and I know what I want. I'm not desperate I just want to understand why ?

you sound so much like me! i fell into this rut a few years ago, i kept hooking up with all these old arrogant men to put it nicely and well to be honest i had to hang things up for a while and stop looking. i had to do my own thing for a while and well the guy your talking about finally found me.

No, it is not too much to ask. Unfortunately, you're meeting the wrong men. And being divorced doesn't make someone "creepy". There are plenty of men around who have the qualities you seek. You just have to look. Your question does hint at a little desperation, though I don't see you as desperate, I sense you are more fed up than anything. And that is only because this is enough of an issue for you to be fed up about when you should know that to find a mate should not be the driving force in your life. There is no such thing as a perfect man or woman. Just keep your head up, because if you are what you say and are confident in yourself, you'll find the right guy. And maybe if you didn't try so hard, you'll be pleasantly suprised. Anyway, I'm not sure if that helps any, I just thought I'd give an honest opinion. I mean no offense. Good luck.

Definitely not too much. Where are you finding these men the bar or the library. It seems like you are patroling the wrong areas for what you want. If you want sex and thats it the bar is perfect, but if you want someone to share a life with maybe its time to get to the library, join some sports, or something like that.

you will find someone. it takes time. maybe you should check into a dating website. make a profile that says "no cheap momma's boy losers who live with their parents" and "no nasty 40 year old divorcees"
