Don't give up the goodies. This relationship won't last and you'll have regrets when you do find your match.

If you two like each other, then what's the issue? Who cares that you like to dress differently? Apparently you have some common likes or views or you wouldn't be compatible enough to be a couple.
No, all relationships aren't based on connection and spark, but many are and it's mandatory for some (if that's not there, there's not going to be a relationship).
Go forth and date...but please lose the word "aint"...that's not preppy and it's just poor grammar besides.
Good luck! âº

It isn't a question of whether your relationship is acceptable by society. It whether you accept each other.
You should bear in mind that you're both going to be swimming in different social circles and integrating as a couple into your 'preppy' scene or his 'emo/goth' scene could be difficult (although in a perfect world it wouldn't be and we'd all accept each other for what we are).
If you're strong and happy, you'll sail it. Don't be put off by others judgments, the most detrimental thing is listening to those who cast their opinions without knowing you.

Opposites should compliment each other's weaknesses. Shy w aggressive, quiet w loud, etc. Preppy and goth sounds like a relationship doomed to fail but if you are happy go with it.

Ever heard of the saying opposites attract? Its true! If you guys love each other, who cares what other people are saying or what they think. If you're happy then you're fine! I have been dating my bf for over 3 yrs, and we are opposites! Best of luck!

Opposites attract. If you love each other that's all that matters. Who cares that your prep and he's goth? Go with your heart.

It is fine for opposites to date. And who cares what others think. As long as you are happy in your relationship and he treats you well then that is all that matters.

It doesn't matter. Who care's if you're "preppy" and he's "emo/goth"...it's about the person...not the labels.

Me and my ex were like that...dating for 6 months and known him for 10 years...he is Kroq White boy and I'm hip hop hispanic...
He likes Bars...I like clubs....
He's not social...I'm social...
We had nothing in common but we made each other crazy in laughter in the end...it didn' t work...he is too insecure...Alway accusing me of cheating if I wasn't too affectionate....
It was crazy!
Don't analyze it too much! Just let it flow.
