I was with her all weekend, we went to the lake, and even watched movies and partied; I dont think that I made her mad, but she didnt invite me...even if I wasnt able to attend, I would of liked the invite. Oh yea, and she also invited some girl from work that she barely met 4months ago, and I have known her for 3 years.

I would ask your friend how her birthday party was? If she is any kind of friend she will use the opportunity to explain to you why she didn't invite you and if she doesn't, you may want to rethink this relationship. Good luck and God Bless.

Talk about it, be honest and not mad - I agree with above answers along this line.

Give her the benefit of the doubt that the party was for socializing with the likes of people from work and mere acquaintances.

I spent two years in a small communty (abroad, dorm). While everyone was close, every once in a while someone got left out for whatever reason - maybe because the host had to invite someone who had enemies that should not be in the same room. And other reasons. This would still hurt if you were 'best friends'.... otherwise we learn to tolerate that some friends (not best, but still do not mind each other's company) may occationally act like they don't care as much as we do.

Stephani:
Everyone makes mistakes darlin, intentional or unintentional we make mistakes. They come in various guises, like assumptions, oversights, mind blanks, and other daily acts of living.
She is your friend. Send some small gift through the mail, or a wee bouquet of flowers from a florist, and wish your friend a happy birthday. The lack of an invitation could have been due to a host of reasons, do not let it hurt your feelings nor make demands on your friend about it.
If in the future this happens to be a common act on your friend's behalf then you will have to decide if the relationship should end, or not. Sometimes that happens...you come to a point where you have to evaluate the worth of the friendship, and decide if it is worth having or not.
Don't take this incident personally. Easy for a stranger to say I know, because it is so hard to do. But try and you'll find that you will rest easier after a small gift is sent to celebrate her birthday.

I always say that honesty is the best policy! Call her up and ask her what's going on. Don't be mean about it just tell her the truth. Say you are hurt that you weren't invited to her birthday dinner and you are curious why you weren't invited. Maybe you said or did something to offend her and you don't even realize it.

Talk to her about it. And maybe she thought that by spending the weekend with you right before hand was the 2 of you celebrating her birthday. She might be having the dinner for people she doesn't feel as close with, after all, you were all weekend and they are one night.

Not cool....

My best friend forgot my birthday COMPLETELY 2 years in a row (1 of them being my 21st) To this day I question her and if we are really as close as we keep saying we are. Just dont make a big deal about her birthday, dont even wish her happy birthday. If she doesnt want you to celebrate with her then dont acknowledge it.

Obviously she doesn't consider you her friend. Just someone to hang and party with. Find a new friend.
