Putters are like underwear. Only you know what fits you best. You have to go and try them. We can tell what we like but that has bearing on your putting style. Do you like a face-balanced putter or a toe-throw putter? We don't know what you prefer. Do you like a blade style or a mallet style? We don't know what you prefer. Can you afford $300 or $1200? We don't know what you can afford. Go and try them and buy what you like and can afford. If you wany a top, brand name putter because everyone else has one, then your mind is made up.

i have a scotty cameron newport, and long neck newport, a newport beach ss, and a napa valley. i have an 8802,and a phil mickelson yonex putter. I have had this one ben crenshaw putter. it has a leather grip and it had his name on it at one time. i bought it for 29.00 dollars brand new in 1986. i lived where there were bermuda greens then. it served me well for years. i still practice with it. all blade, anser putter have a face that has a straight line on it. anser have a little neck that if you line them all up you know its square. the one i put with now is a scotty cameron newport that i bought new in 1998. its still in the bag. when i first started playing i was in my 20's. i made friends with an older man now deceased. he putted with this old flat sided putter that was made in the 1930's or the 1940's. he couldnt hit if far. driver wood short iron, make the putt. he beat everyone to death. cool putters look cool. but its the indian not the arrow. and yes scotty cameron does make the best on the market now days. ping anser's use to be the thing. one more hint. make sure the grip is on straight. mass producing hasnt done a lot for quality control.

Ok, no Guerin Rife.
Just check out the hotlist: http://www.golfdigest.com/hotlist
I tried the Taylormade Rossa putters. The grooves get the ball rolling very nicely, but it dodn't reqlly fit my eye.
Oh wait, you have to try the new Odyssey White Hot XG putters. The insert is amde from the same materials as a golf ball, so it has the best feel of any putter out there. It comes in many varieties.

Im using a Ping Anser BeCu. and love the crap out of it. but the Beryllim Copper puters are hard to find. The sad news is that my dad wants it back so I just purchased a Oddyssey two ball DFX but has not arrived yet. But I know that a lot of pros use the never compromise and the camerons.

Hit the pawn shops, second hand sports equipment stores, or maybe a club repair shop and try out what they've got.
I found an old Teardrop that probably cost $200 when it was new for $20. I have an old Bulseye that I paid $7 for. I switch back and forth because it seems to boost my confidence when the putts won't drop.
Don't even look at the brand name. Just pick one that feels right.

I use a TaylorMade Rozza Monza and I love it. But if its only between those I've used the Ping and the ball feels really good off the face. I need help aliging the ball so I prefer mallets. Go to a proshop and try the all out because no matter what anyone says it has to be the one for you. Good luck.

Have you tried the new Black Series putters from Odyssey? I traded in my Ping putter to get one. They are AMAZING! They are also nice and heavy, so it helps your stroke. The Nike Ignite is ok, but it is too light. Go try them out...that will help more than these answers.

I putted with a brass Ping Anser II for years until I switched to a Nicklaus model a few seasons ago. I'm contemplating switching back... You can't beat the best.
