I th ink you really DO know yourself! I think you are just afraid to admit that it might not be what you consider the "ideal" person, or the kind of person that another might like! The idea of being yourself only says that the other person should like you for who YOU are at the current time! People change over time! You WILL change as well! Maybe then you will find a different kind of person to care for. You sound young and insecure, but that comes with the territory. It can be quite scary out there in "Relationship Land", but along with the risks and heartaches, there is great reward as well! Don't be afraid. Just don't do anything that you wouldn't normally do. You want a person who loves you for YOU, not for what you might be or do!

Simple, don't think about what you're doing. Act as if no one else was around, or as if you were at home. Don't pretend to be someone you aren't. Just act natural. If you're yourself, you don't have to think about what you're doing or if its right or wrong. Because then, its second nature and you'll act as yourself.

Being yourself is terrible advice. Be truthful but don't act the fool. This is dating, not a soul search.

Then you shouldn't be with anyone if you don't know yourself.
Know and love yourself before you love another or else you won't know how and won't do well...
