I just got a tattoo a week ago and I'm worried about the peeling on part of it. It's a shooting star on my foot and one of the smaller stars is raised off my foot a little and it seems like a large portion is peeling off. I've cleaned it exactly the same as the rest of the tattoo...but this part is peeling different? any comments? is it normal?

The whole thing will scab over and peel off. the ink is left under the skin.

This is normal. The scab is coming off. Don't mess with it, or you might get a scar right over your nice new tattoo. If you're concerned, go back to the tattoo parlor and ask them to look at it.

could be that that particular spot got hit a little harder than the rest. i have a hundred something tats and they all seem to heal a little different. the best advice i have is, put original unscented lubriderm lotion on it alot. once an hour if you can. for a day or two until that piece comes off on its own. dont help it, let it go naturaly.

Very normal...it is just like a wound that will scab over and fall of and of course the scab is colored because of the ink...no worries...as this is part of the healing process.

yes it's normal, just make sure to keep it clean and use A+D or neosproin on it.
