Any tips on how to get rid of a headache? Just curious. I don't get many, but when I do they are SO bad and all I want to do is sleep. But going to sleep isn't always possible at the time. Just wondering if anyone knows any at home tricks to cure the ache.

I saw this on the television today. Take a lemon and peel it. Then take the peeling and place it on your forehead and its supposed to get rid of a headache. Havent tried it so I dont know if it works or not but you might want to give it a shot.

Many people think that getting headaches is just a natural part of life. Not so! There are causes, and thankfully, cures for headaches, even bad ones like migraines. Look into seeing a reputable Chiropractor as many headaches stim from misalignment in the cervical spine area. And if that doesn't do the trick, you can also see an acupuncturist. Good luck!

Ok heres one for you and its my own theory so you wont here it any where else. I think that maybe stimulating or tickling the back of the ears will help. Why? because this area is connected to your vegus nerve which when stimulated can stop a seizure, headache or depression. Normally this is done with an implant called a Vegus Nerve Stimulator which is connected to the throat area to reach the vegus nerve. Well why looking into a way of external stimulating the nerve I have found that it is connected to the skin or nerve endings on the back of your ear. Crazy huh, but true. Its worth a try!! anyways. Or maybe it would have to be electronically stimulated with small impulses rather than tickling. Its out there but worht a try. Just tickle the back of your ears or even try pinching it every time your headache throbs. Let me know what happens.

It really depends on the type of headache, if it's a common headache sometimes it helps by pressing and massaging with your right thumb and index finger the zone on your left hand that joins your left index finger and left thumb, it will hurt when you have a headache but it does get better. If it's a migraine I don't think it helps.

There is a high success rate at the reduction of headaches with chiropractic treatment. You should give it a try. It's highly researched and effective. Though chiropractic doesn't cure all headaches, chances are you will see improvement after just the first or second treatment.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck.
Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at

Ive read that if you drink 2 glasses of Gatorade it will go away, so far I have had good luck with this. I'm not much for taking meds, so I will try anything else. It may not be for everyone, but it has worked for me, someone who has been suffering headaches and migraines since I was about 5

Drink more water. Most headaches are the result of dehydration. If you are getting migraines though you should see someone about that. They can be indicative of something more serious. Also, excedrin works pretty well. I guess that's why they call it "the headache medicine."

I have headaches almost on a daily basis. Most of the time Excedrin or Excedrin Mirgraine seems to do the trick.

Excedrin migraine works. If you don't want to take drugs, a cup of chamomile tea works. Sit or lie down in a dark, quiet room for a while. Keep your eyes closed with a warm washcloth over them.
