This light appears in the speedometer in the left corner, it looks orange and I can't figure out what it means. The car still runs fine ( I hope I am not damaging anything). Any help would be appreciated

The best thing to do is check your Vehicles Owners manual.
the (!) mark on the dash board refers to the Emergency Brake, if the (!) light is on when your driving then most likely your emergency brake switch has been triggered, stop and make sure your emergency brake isnt on. If it stays on, goto your favorite mechanic and get it looked at.

its the handbrake dude !
you have the handbrake on. If you checked the handbrake and its OK then you are low on brake fluid. Open the bonnet/hood and refill the brake fluid. make sure to check your owners manual for the grade/viscosity

is it a triangle with (!) in the middle..if it is that mean there a fault in your taction control system . only a VW dealer have a scanner that can read your traction control/abs module. the car should still be under warrantee

Look in your owner's manual to be sure, but I think it's probably just the Change Oil alert
