I'm a beginner golfer and am looking for a ladies complete set (with stand bag - NOT cart bag) and don't want to spend more than $300. Any suggestions?

Most quality name brand full sets will run way more than $300. Try ebay for a used set or TaylorMade Misclea's thats what my wife has and she absolutely loves them. $550-700 new. Also theirs www.golfclubexchange.com Good luck its nice to see more people playing golf.

Go to costco.com Search for the Prince SST Tour set. It's very nice, made of top materials. Only 200 bucks. I've seen it other places of over 700-800 bucks. It comes with a cart bag, but after only spending 200, buy a separate stand bag for like 60-70 bucks.

Anything graphite, light, cheap, feels good in your hands and is aesthetically good looking.

Why aesthetically good looking??

Because even though you are just a beginner, if you address the ball and take your stance, and your golf club doesn't look right to you, you already have negative thoughts in your head even before you start your swing. You basically want to have confidence and feel good about your purchase.
