My sister told me it would only be a couple weeks, which obviously is not true, I was just wondering so I would stop expecting it to me in the mail box!

You should have already gotten it. Check your email. Make sure to check the spam folder because the link to your SAR could be there. It only took two days to get mine this year. A few years ago I had to do corrections, so I didn't get my SAR for months. If you do need to make corrections, the school will be contacting you.

It could be up to 4-6 weeks. If you got approved or whatever they'll send you a fafsa pin # on some little card. You know you got it if that comes. Then you got to go on line to the fafsa website and bring up you SAR to put in the school code so the money will go to that school or schools. Then if I was you go register at the school(if they allow early registration for new students- so you don't end up in classes you didn't want to take.

If you applied for FAFSA electronically you should have heard from them within 7-10 working days. If you mailed your stuff in postally it's 4-6 weeks. They should have a hotline number you can call to inquire about your status
