k, so my dog has this pink bump on his chest and it's been there for two weeks now, I can't go to the vet at this moment because I'm short on money. I'm afraid it might be cancer...?

here's some pictures sorry if it's not clear:

it's pink and there's only one, and no discharge has come out of it or anything. The symptoms look similar to a Basal cell tumor. Has anyone seen anything like this?

Thanks for your help.

As with people any lump or growth needs to be checked out. Sometimes the sooner the better. I know you don't want to hear it but the dog should be seen by a vet.

My Bichon has about 20 of these all over her body, and we've had our share of freaking out over them. We took her to the vet who said that growths are very common in older dogs.

We were given the following instructions whenever a new one pops up:

make sure that light pressure on it doesn't hurt the dog. If he doesn't react in pain and the bump is solid, its very likely that it is a benign growth. If it feels like it is fluid filled, it may be an infection.

Any lump can be cancerous, surely you have a family or friend that you could borrow off to take him to the vet, usually if you have a good relationship with the vet, you can pay a deposit and pay the rest at the chk up stage.......id get it checked.
The lump has grown within 2 weeks, so get to vet.

Nobody can diagnose what this is from a picture, you need to go to the vet. There are many things it could be, so don't jump to conclusions yet.

Ditto to B.W.'s answer. I was going to say the exact same thing. If this were on you, you'd see a doctor immediately. Do the same for your dog.
