Im in the process of keeping a journal about my DD(3) behavior so I can show her DR. If she is OCD, Im sure it is mild so far, Im just starting on this to see if we can control it, help it not get out of hand. At her age I don't want drugs/threapy.

She is into hand washing, but she is not aware of germs; her socks and shoes have to be put on a certain way, then tied in order; checks bottom of shoes when outside, gets upset if dirt is in tred; blankets on her bed have to be flat on her, no wrinkle, no corners turned over

I know this might seem minor to those who have a child with even a more complusive nature, or one who actually has fear surface, ours is more of a panic that it is not 'perfect' or correct. I guess I want to help her cope, help her not become more severe.

Anyone dealing with Pedieatric OCD?

Sometimes, kid do stuff like this and grow out of it. My son did the handwashing thing as a small child - every time we turned around he was washing his hands. Now he is a teenager, and he's your average dirty, sloppy teen, lol.

My daughter (5) does not give a hoot about dirt, but she has to put her shoes and socks on in a certain order, and everything in her room has to be in its place - not neat and tidy, but just what she considers to be its place for the moment. She will not go to sleep without everything put away, and if she sees me doing a routine task in a different way, she wants to know why.

But, even though this may all sound like a lot, it's really not in the grand scheme of a day. She's not like this about every single aspect of her life, and I think that's the difference in whether or you not you should worry.

They all have their quirks, and most of what seems outrageous to you now may disappear in the future.

i've got not got a toddler with Ped. OCD, yet from examining those toddler rearing books that are universal, understand that a number of babies pass with the aid of stages like that. the place issues would desire to be a definite way. Like no meals can touch one yet another, utilising a similar glass to drink each and all of the time, purely wearing specific clothing, etc. besides the shown fact that, a visit to the interior sight psych or well-being care expert is the only way you will locate out for specific.

She may not have OCD. As she gets older you may notice a change in her behaviors. She may not have these compulsions anymore or they might get worse. Sometimes children will grow out of it and sometimes they won't. Just keep an eye on her and notice if she has obessions she needs to control of with rituals.
